   1.
This class is not held every month so don't miss out!
   2. You would be paying for each class individually, but it is recommended to come to 4 classes in a row as your instructor will keep building on the same material so that you can have consistancy and improve quickly. Or just take one class!
   3. You can reserve your spot through the website via pre-pay
OR you can TEXT Amina at (301) 641-6055 to request a Venmo invoice and ask any questions.   If you want a call back please say so in the text.
   4. Sign ups are via pre-pay in advance only and it's only an 10 student limit in a very large studio.  The windows have a view of the whole city!

WHO: Beginner Ladies ages 18 to 100, it will be mostly feminine moves.

LEVEL:

  • Total Beginners - No experience needed - each class we do a different choreography so you can keep taking class every time it's held.
  • Text the instructor, Amina if you aren't sure of your level or have questions: (301) 641-6055

VIDEOS:
Check out the sample video at the top of this page!  Most students in the video were true beginners, and this was filmed after their first class.   Students often tell us that the video looks very easy but in person it was difficult to get the styling right and make it look graceful.  We work on all that in class and the instructor gives explanations and feedback.  You can find more videos on our Instagram @DistrictGroove

ABOUT THE CLASS:

  • Learn beginner level feminine hip hop moves
  • The last 15 minutes of class we will take optional photos and videos.  If you don't want to partake in that you can leave early if you like.
  • The class is low impact on the knees with little to no jumping and no crawling on the floor type of dance moves.  You will get a work out while learning a life skill!

WHY THIS CLASS?

  • Optional Videos and photos taken of the students at the end of each class to track our progress
  • 1 hour and 30 minute class (rather than the typical 1 hour dance class)
  • This is one of the few Hip Hop Classes in the area that has a small 10 student limit and is catered to TRUE Beginners.  Many studios say they are for "Beginners" but their class is Advanced in reality.
  • Some students say dance class is more helpful than their weekly therapy.
  • Get a workout, learn a new skill, AND make new friends IN PERSON!  The instructor and students are friendly and encouraging!
  • NOTE: This class is held once or twice a month and not every month.  Don't miss out and regret it later.  You only live once and who knows when we may have another lockdown or global emergency!
